Solid wood, not sure what type. Excellent condition of table round and solid wooden chairs. Chair upholstery may need to be replaced due to staining in areas eventhough it's Crypton fabric which is supposed to be the best. It comes with 7 solid wood leaves which opens the table up for seating for 10. The leaves would need some TLC to bring up to the finish quality of the round. They are perfect for Holiday gatherings and big groups. We are parting with this set because we ran out of room for it in our home. It's a great set and it will be missed.
